“Wow, amazing, incredible, astonishing — sensational!”…Food Review Club try Turner’s Pies
We are delighted that a leading food critic has heaped praise on our tasty pies describing them as “the best I’ve ever eaten”.
Critic Matt Davies-Binge’s enthusiastic online video appraisal went out to almost 200,000 viewers on the Food Review Club social media platforms and his glowing critique led to even more orders for our mouth-watering products.
Davies-Binge said of pies he tasted — Steak & Mature Cheddar, Steak & Ale, Chicken & Ham and Steak & Stilton:
“Wow, amazing, incredible, astonishing — sensational! We hunt down those under-the radar-hidden gems around the UK. Everyone has their favourites and we want to find the best of the best — and these are the best pies I have ever eaten.”
He then awarded the crusty treats a best-ever 9.7 out of 10 in his independent review.
The accolade comes just two months after we were crowned supreme champions at the12th British Pie Awards with our Steak & Stilton pie named the Best British Pie of 2020 at world-renowned awards ceremony in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire.
Phil says he is thrilled at the acclaim. He said:
“The review is incredible and proves to us that we are still at the very top of our game. The Covid-19 crisis was obviously very challenging but the incredible upsurge in demand with our pies by post service meant that we were still very, very busy. Now our shops are all open once more — following strict social distancing guidelines of course — and as a result we have increased production to new levels and we are creating once more, too, to meet the surge in demand.”
